Saturday, February 5, 2000 McGILLIS, Helen Mrs. Helen McGillis at St. Joseph's Villa on
Wednesday, February 2, 2000, age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Neil
McGillis. Loved mother of Frances Cormode of Peterborough, and Norman
McGillis of Ottawa. Dear sister of Frances Thompson (Faulds) of Uxbridge,
ON. Sadly missed by granddaughters Robin Cormode, Whistler,
B.C,; Heather Cormode, Jasper, Alta; and Elisabeth McGillis of
Ottawa; and by her brother-in-law Jack McGillis (Dorothy) of Vancouver;
and her sister-inlaw Joan McGillis of Morrisburg. Dear daughter of the late
James Faulds and the late Mary Jeffrey. To honour the previously
expressed wishes of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A Memorial
Service will be held in Knox-St. Paul's United Church, Cornwall, Ontario on
Saturday, February 19, 2000 at 3:00 p.m., Reverend Katherine Gregory to
officiate. If so desired, contributions to Knox-St. Paul's United
Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. Funeral

Deaths (05/03/01) LOWE, Catherine Ann (nee McGillis). Peacefully at Sutton,
Que., on May 1, 2001, in her ninety-ninth year. Born in
Lancaster, Ont., in 1903, Catherine lived her adult life in
Montreal and Knowlton (Lac Brome), Que. Beloved wife of
the late John Edwin Lowe, dear mother of Patricia (the late
Alfred Benoit) of Knowlton, John (Eleanor) of Edmonton,
Norma and Catherine of Knowlton, and Margaret of
Lachine, Que. Sadly missed by thirteen grandchildren and
nineteen great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by
sister-in-law Ruby (Lowe) Williams and several nieces and
nephews. Friends and relatives may call at the Desourdy
