Dear sister of Donald (Bev), Maxville, Dorothy Savage, Toronto and Joan O'Hara, Maxville. Will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters, Madelaine Holsapple, Phyllis Mosher, Florence Villeneuve, Genevieve and Helen and brothers, Gilbert, Angus, Kenneth and two infant brothers, Phillip and Eugene. Mass of Christina Burial was held at St. Finnan's Cathedral, Alexandria on Friday, July 5 at 10 a.m. followed by interment in the parish cemetery. Special thanks to the Home Care (Cornwall) and the staff of the Ottawa Hospital General Site. A Mass in Memory of Mr. Guertin will be held Monday, February 7, 2000, in l'eglise St-Joseph, Orleans, at 10 a.m. Followed by interment of cremated remains at Notre-Dame Cemetery. Cherished and sadly missed by 13 grandchildren, Jeannine and Andre Guindon; Laurie (Richard Point), Steven, Andrew Warden; Justin, Nathan, Zachary Guindon; Travis, Jordan, Krystal Parisien; Anne-Marie and Alexandra St. Denis. Predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Garrett, brothers Robert and Ernest and sister Phyllis. At Mr. Garrett's request, there will be no public visitation. Beloved husband of the late Mary Newman, dear father of Barry (Irene) of London, Ont., Wayne (Donna) of Calgary, Ab., and Kent (Donna) of Ottawa, Ont. Loving grandfather of Jason, Daniel, Tegan, Shane, Jordan, Courtney and Brett. Caring brother of Evelyn Silverson (Gordon) of Lachute, Thema Hynes of Alexandria, the late Mortimer Hynes and the late Ruth Fletcher (the late Fred). Gordon is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at Munro & Morris Funeral Home, 114 Main Street south, Alexandria as of 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Dear wife of Claude Gauthier, dear mother of Liane Geoffrion (Tim Gaumont) of Ottawa. Dear stepmother of Jean C. Gauthier (Elisabeth Papinutti), Suzanne, Marie-Paule (Philippe Gendron), Michele (Henri-Claude Chretien), Jocelyne Quesnel and Lucie (Larry Gauthier), a family friend, Nicole Labonte; 10 grandchildren: Karen Roach, Patrick Roach (Marie Thibault), Chantal Gauthier (Martin Champoux), Stephane Chretien (Claudine Viau), Nathalie Chretien (Pascal Labelle), Luc Gendron (Josee Gagnon), Michel Gendron, Christian Gendron (Julie Joubame), Sebastien Quesnel and Danika Dallaire; 5 great grandchildren: Benjamin Roach, Maxime and Xavier Chretien, Guillaume Gauthier-Champoux and Emilie Gendron, 1 brother Donald Plamondon (Mildred), 1 sister, Jeannette Plamondon. Dear aunt of Heather Peckett of Nepean, Sharon A. Bishop of Belle River, Shirley M. Ritchie of Woodstock, N.B. and Donald Grant MacRae of Dunvegan. Christy's career spanned many years in the health care field in the Boston area. Christy was a long time member of the Church of the Covenant serving faithfully on the Board of Deacons and the Board of Missions. Christy was also a great supporter of the American Leprosy Missions. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Presbyterian Church, Dunvegan, Ontario on Saturday, July 8, 2000 from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment Kenyon Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Funeral under the direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Home, Maxville.
